Physiotherapy Services

Rehabilitation

Whether it is getting ready for surgery, recovering from an injury, returning to work or trying to optimise your performance, our physiotherapists are exceptionally well trained to develop a program that will create the optimal adaptations.

We specialise in…

  • Our team excels in ACL reconstruction rehabilitation. We can provide early assessment, diagnosis and referral. Our team has assisted many ACLs through the entire process. The best quality evidence will be applied; typically, the Melbourne ACL guide 2.0 will be a mainstay of the program. Our team is continually upskilling in the best ways to pre-habilitate and rehabilitate these kneed.

  • Spinal surgery may be required in many cases. With our onsite gym, pilates and equipment, we effectively guide clients through rehabilitation after various back surgeries. It is recommended that you speak to a physiotherapist soon after surgery as it is common for a lot of basic information and advice to have been missed or lost during the process.

  • These injuries can significantly disrupt a client's confidence in movement. Our team will help effectively treat and rehabilitate the client in a way that restores their confidence to engage in all types of physical activity.

  • We will provide a range of appropriate and effective treatments to optimise the healing of the prosthetic joint and the surrounding tissue. Many times clients will end their rehabilitation journey stronger than they were before surgery.

  • Our team can assess and treat some balance and vestibular ailments. We are particularly effective at treating Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). This form of vertigo is typically initiated when rolling over in bed or turning the client's head. Treatment is quick and very effective if this is the diagnosis. We can also assist in improving balance and vestibular issues that have come on from various issues. This may be acute illness or neurological injury.

  • We regularly design and implement gym programs. Many people do not know where to start when thinking about a gym program. The environment can also be perceived as intimidating or threatening. We can guide the client through a program, so they have the confidence to load their body and get stronger. We can attend offsite gyms; it is required that the client pays for their entry or membership prior to the appointment.

  • Neurological physiotherapy involves treating people with movement and function disorders from problems within the body’s nervous and neuromuscular system.

These conditions often manifest as muscle weakness, poor balance and coordination, uncontrolled muscle spasms and tremors, loss of function and decreased sensation. Common neurological conditions include:

    • Functional Neurological Disorders

    • Stroke, CVA or TIA

    • Spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries

    • Multiple sclerosis

    • Parkinson’s disease
