Jessie Jones - Senior Physiotherapist

Jessie graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2014. Jessie moved to Karratha in 2020 and has come on board as a full-time physiotherapist. Jessie has experience in disability, chronic conditions and aged care. Jessie is passionate about helping people to achieve their goals and helping them find ways to live the life they want to live. Outside of work, Jessie has a keen interest in martial arts, rock climbing and the outdoors. Ps: She’s actually a competitive Muay Thai fighter, so don’t mess with her! Welcome, Jessie, to the red dirt, a place full of adventure, stunning sunsets and a community like no other!

Alyce Hoskins - Senior Physiotherapist

Graduating from Curtin University in 2016, Alyce has worked heavily in musculoskeletal clinics in both Australia and New Zealand! Alyce has specialised training in the examination and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disorders and lower limb rehab – from injury to return to performance. Attention netballers! Alyce is your lady with extensive experience working with netballers and additional training via the Netball Australia endorsed provider of the KNEE program. Alyce has also completed her certificate of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy, DMA Clinical Pilates and Physiotherapy, Level 1 Concussion: Side line management and return to play sports and exercise, Dry Needling, and is a Level 1 Sports Trainer.

caitlin thorn - senior physiotherapist

Caitlin is an experienced physiotherapist with a passion for empowering her patients to lead fulfilling and pain-free lives. A graduate of Curtin University's School of Physiotherapy, Caitlin has built her skillset across more than a decade of experience in Perth's private practice and tertiary hospital settings. Caitlin uses a patient-centered approach and broad range of treatments to support those who see her in achieving their best quality of life. Caitlin's commitment to providing personalised care ensures that each individual receives the attention they deserve, from their first consult and at every stage along their journey. Having recently relocated to Karratha with her partner and 5 year old border collie, Lola, Caitlin enjoys getting out and exploring all that the beautiful Pilbara has to offer.

Kate Thomson - Senior Physiotherapist

Kate is our fabulous mother of two who treats Women’s & Men's Pelvic Health. She has worked with multiple elite sporting clubs, including the Fremantle Dockers, East Fremantle Football Club and WA indoor netball. Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2012 and has since completed her Master's in Continence & Pelvic Health from Curtin University. She has undertaken additional training in dry needling, electrotherapy and Clinical Pilates. 

Kate specialises in managing pregnant and postnatal women for pelvic floor assessment and treating related pain (sciatica, pelvic girdle pain, carpal tunnel). She enjoys helping this group of women stay active with individualised exercise guidance. Kate also offers treatment for blocked milk ducts, perineum pain, and abdominal separation. Kate treats women for various pelvic floor issues (bladder and bowel incontinence, prolapse, painful sex, vulvodynia, post gynaecological surgery/ hysterectomy) as well as men (bowel/bladder dysfunction, prostatectomy surgery, pelvic pain).  

Before specialising in pelvic health, Kate gained experience as a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist in Mandurah and Perth private practice and hospital settings. She has been in the Pilbara for 5 years and loves mountain bike riding, SUP and camping with her family.

Josh Yates - Lead physiotherapist

Located in Karratha

Josh is a graduate of Curtin University. He has gained experience in rehabilitating patients who have suffered traumatic brain and orthopaedic injuries. He has also spent time in musculoskeletal clinical practice and learning alternative treatment methods in China. He has a strong desire to help patients work towards achieving their goals, utilising a mixture of both manual techniques and specific exercises to promote faster recovery of current injuries and reduce the risk of reoccurrence in the future. Josh enjoys keeping fit in his spare time at the gym and running outdoors. He also loves everything to do with being on the ocean, especially scuba diving, spearfishing and water skiing.

Hannah Boyle - lead physiotherapist

Hannah graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2019 and joined the Pilbara Therapy Services team in February 2021. She is now a valuable member of our Leadership Team.

 Hannah's caseload primarily focuses on supporting people living with disability to explore their passions, move their body and minimise barriers to community access. With foundational experience within the musculoskeletal field, Hannah has special interest in Paediatric Physiotherapy. She has completed additional studies in culturally safe healthcare, assessment & management of paediatric conditions, adult disability, wheelchair assessment & prescription, continence & disability and Clinical Pilates.

 Hannah loves to support people from all walks of life and all abilities to feel safe and motivated to achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life. In her spare time, Hannah loves playing sports– netball, tennis, running. Hannah loves the outdoors and on the weekends, you can find her camping, boating and spending time with friends.

Emma Calusinski

Bachelor in Physiotherapy
Located in Karratha and Wickham

Emma graduated Notre Dame University with a double degree in Physiotherapy and Exercise & Sport Science, joining Pilbara Therapy Services in November 2021. Emma has a strong passion for paediatric disability care and working with NDIS clients. She has completed further professional development in the form of courses and external mentoring/shadowing with senior physiotherapists in the paediatric space. Emma also enjoys treating musculoskeletal clients of all kinds and has a special interest in dancers, paediatric conditions, and foot/ankle pain. Emma’s sport science knowledge has helped her develop an interest in exercise-based rehabilitation and using this to reach the best possible mental and physical outcomes with her patients. Outside of work Emma enjoys keeping fit, exploring, camping, and catching bigger fish than her brothers and dad.

Timothy Hulley

Bachelor in Physiotherapy
Located in Karratha and Wickham

Tim completed his studies at Curtin University at the end of 2019 and has been working in a private practice setting since. His Physiotherapy experience includes treating a wide range of musculoskeletal issues, sporting injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation. Other experience includes working with local rugby and footy teams treating and managing acute sporting injuries, and various hospital placements across Perth and overseas during training.

He has also done additional training in dry needling, strength and conditioning and management of ACL injuries. Tim has a keen interest in musculoskeletal conditions, including knee and shoulder pain and targeted strength and conditioning to recover from injury and promote longevity.

Tim has also participated in various team and individual sports, including rugby, hockey, and swimming. He spends much of his spare time in the ocean surfing, diving and doing Crossfit.

Alex Suleski

Alex's journey is a testament to his passion for working with athletes, high-performance training, and musculoskeletal injury management. This passion was shaped by his experience playing high-level football (soccer). Alex's dedication to his work is evident through completing a doctorate in Physiotherapy at Curtin University, a master's degree in Strength & Conditioning, and an undergraduate in Sports Science and Exercise Rehabilitation. Outside of work, Alex enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, whether it be at the gym or the beach. It is clear that Alex's empathy and dedication to his work make him an exceptional physiotherapist, and he is sure to impact the lives of his patients positively.

Aimee Doyle - Senior Physiotherapist

Located in Karratha

Aimee graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 2010 and has previous experience working with children and adults in the disability sector (NDIS) in Perth and Broome, and now Karratha and surrounds.  She works with people across the lifespan with various presentations and enjoys working one-on-one and in group settings to deliver a high-quality, evidence-based service. 

Aimee is passionate about supporting kids and adults to move and learn so they can do what they do best – play, have fun and participate in activities that are meaningful to them. 

Aimee has completed additional Physiotherapy training in Paediatrics and Disability, and in 2024 is also commencing training in Continence and Women’s Health.

Outside of work, Aimee loves spending time with her young family and exploring WA, especially the amazing Pilbara region!

David Rigby - owner & principle physiotherapist

David Rigby completed an undergraduate degree in Exercise Sports Science and then progressed to complete a Masters of Physiotherapy. David has worked in various settings, including vocational rehabilitation, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, Cardio Physiotherapy, Neurological Physiotherapy and much more. David has worked in Perth, throughout the South West of Australia and has been the Founder/Owner/Operator for Pilbara Physiotherapy (formally known as Rigby’s Physio) since March 2014. David has big dreams for Pilbara Therapy Services and is very proud of realizing part of that dream in creating a comprehensive rehabilitation clinic with a fully appointed gym.

We believe strongly in building up the rural health workforce. In line with this goal, we facilitate an ongoing rotation of students from Notre Dame and Curtin University. These students are nearly ready to be employed and are in their final year of University. We offer discounted prices for these comprehensive sessions. Our students have been given training in the most recent evidence-based practice and will check in with their supervisor to ensure their implementation is up to standard.
